How to Fix Oops, Something Went Wrong Error on Grammarly

Grammarly has the advantage of being web-based, which means you can use it on any Windows 10/11 PC, Mac or Linux computer, or Chromebook device at any time. Did I mention it’s completely free? However, if you want to fully use Grammarly’s capabilities, you may subscribe to its monthly premium membership plan.

After scanning, it will give you all the hints for you to correct them. Now, what happens if you launch and load Grammarly on your web browser and it is not working or just won’t load? How to Troubleshoot & Fix Grammarly Not Working with Oops Something Went Wrong Error Message

There are a variety of reasons why your Grammarly online tool won’t load, resulting in the Oops, something went wrong error notice. Each of the techniques listed below may help you figure out what’s causing the issue.

Method 1: Reload the Grammarly website.

You’ll notice Grammarly’s recommendation, “Please attempt to refresh the website,” just under the problem message on your screen. Reload the page until it returns to its original condition. You may alternatively close the tab and open a new one. Check out the Grammarly website to see whether it’s working.

Clear your browser’s cache and cookies data (method #2).

Check the boxes next to cookies, cache, and browsing data and set the Time Range to All Time. To clear the data, use the Clear Data button.

Disable your antivirus software (method #3).

Grammarly may be blocked by your anti-virus or Windows Defender software on Windows 10 or 11. You may try refreshing Grammarly after disabling your security tools.

  • Go to the Settings menu to turn off Windows Defender.
  • Select Update & Security.
  • Select Windows Security from the menu.
  • Choose Virus & threat protection.
  • Navigate to Manage Preferences.
  • Toggle off Real-time protection by looking for it.
  • Look for the antivirus icon to switch off your antivirus.
  • Select the program icon with a right-click.
  • Disable is the option.
  • After everything is in order, you may switch them back on.

Method #4 – Use Grammarly on a Different Device

Whether you’re having trouble accessing the Grammarly website on your PC, try switching to your mobile device and seeing if it works. You may also load the service from a spare computer if you have one. It may function on one device but not on another at times.

Switch to a different network (method #5)

Whether another network where you can connect to the Internet is available, you may try switching to it and seeing if it works. To keep your online accounts safe, make sure you’re utilizing a private Internet connection.
