Winaero Tweaker 1.30 is here, allows you to move Windows 11 taskbar, and more!

We hope you’re all ready to upgrade to Windows 10, but you might not have yet settled on which version to use. If you’re looking for a more customizable desktop experience, you should check out Winaero Tweaker. This program adds a ton of useful features to the Windows 10 taskbar and Start menu, including the ability to move the Start menu to the bottom of the screen, change how the taskbar looks, or add your own custom shortcuts to the taskbar.

A new version of Winaero Tweaker is finally here, and it brings along a number of new features. The first is the ability to move the Windows 10 taskbar to the left or right side of the screen, which lets you easily access the Win + X hotkey from that position. Also new is the ability to display a notification on the left side of the screen while pressing Win + U to access the Task Manager. There are also improvements to Aero Snap and the Taskbar Position.

The latest version 1.30 of Winaero Tweaker has been released this morning. This new version is a big update, which now allows you to move the taskbar to anywhere you want. This includes the new Start button, which is now at the bottom. In addition to that, there are some new features, such as the ability to customize the lock screen layout, and new options to disable the “Lock screen” and “Show all apps” buttons near the bottom left of the screen. The usual bugs fixes and improvements are also included.

I am pleased to make Winaero Tweaker available to any interested users. It’s version 1.30, and it adds a slew of new features to Windows 11 and other supported versions of Windows. Windows 11, Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, and Windows 7 are all supported by me. Users of Windows 7 must, however, install.NET 4.5 in order to continue using the program. I’m sure you already know this. Here’s a rundown of what’s new.

What’s new in version 1.30 of Winaero Tweaker?

Winaero Tweaker 1 30

Features that are new

  • Task Manager can be added to the Desktop context menu (this works in all supported Windows versions).
  • Group Policy can be added to the Desktop context menu (in all supported Windows versions).
  • In all supported Windows versions, you can add “Restart Explorer” to the Desktop context menu.
  • Two new tools have been added:
    • In all Windows versions, you can create desktop shortcuts for the Shut down, Restart, Hibernate, and Sleep actions. Shortcuts like these can help you save time. You can build both complete shut down and hybrid shut down shortcuts for “shut down” (turns off the OS without the hibernation data, next start is cold start) (next start will be done with Fast Startup).
    • If your tray icons (notification area/taskbar corner overflow) appear to be broken, you can now use Winaero Tweaker to clear their cache.
  •  The “Classic Taskbar” function in Windows 11 has been improved in a number of ways. You can rapidly turn on the clock, network, and sound icons after activating it. For that, there is a link.
  • Windows 11: In File Explorer, a dedicated option to restore the Ribbon has been included.
  • You can now move the taskbar to the top, left, or right side of the screen in Windows 11. Because Microsoft does not officially support taskbar movement, the left and right side taskbars are still half-baked.

Fixes

  • The identification of Windows 10 version 21H2 has been fixed. 21H1 was the code assigned to it.
  • Pin to start removing default entries from the context menu has been fixed. Only for files was the “Pin to Start” command removed. It now also vanishes for directories.
  • The Shell Folder shortcut option has been fixed. The option used to appear in the “Recently changed” list whenever you created a shell folder shortcut. That’s incorrect; nothing on your computer will change as a result of this.
